SHIPPING POLICY

1. OVERVIEW
This Shipping Policy governs all orders placed through KaiMakesArt ("we," "us," or "our"). By completing a purchase on our website, you ("Customer") agree to the terms set forth in this policy in their entirety. Please read this document carefully before placing your order.

2. PRODUCTS
KaiMakesArt offers a crochet basket-shaped bag featuring a decorative red floral design.
IMPORTANT PRODUCT NOTICE — MANUFACTURING TRANSITION: Due to high demand, products that were previously handmade have transitioned to production in industrial manufacturing facilities. By communicating this transition within these terms, KaiMakesArt assumes no liability for claims arising from expectations of handmade or artisan craftsmanship. The customer, by completing a purchase, expressly accepts and acknowledges this condition.
3. ORDER PROCESSING TIME
All orders are subject to a processing period of 1 to 3 business days from the date of confirmed payment. Business days are defined as Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays.
Orders placed on weekends or federal holidays will begin processing on the next available business day. Order confirmation emails do not constitute shipment confirmation. KaiMakesArt reserves the right to extend processing times during periods of high order volume, promotions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, without liability to the customer.
4. ESTIMATED SHIPPING TIMES
Once an order has been processed and dispatched, the estimated delivery window is 13 to 20 business days. This estimate represents transit time only and does not include the processing period outlined in Section 3.

All delivery timeframes are estimates only. They are not guarantees. KaiMakesArt does not warrant any specific delivery date. Estimated delivery windows may be affected by factors outside our control, including but not limited to carrier delays, customs processing, weather events, natural disasters, public health emergencies, port congestion, labor disputes, or other force majeure events.
5. SHIPPING DESTINATIONS
KaiMakesArt currently ships within the United States. Availability of shipping to specific locations may vary. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders to certain destinations at our sole discretion.
6. SHIPPING CARRIERS AND TRACKING
Orders are fulfilled through third-party logistics and shipping carriers. Once your order has been dispatched, a tracking number will be provided to the email address associated with your order, to the extent that tracking is available through the carrier assigned to your shipment.
KaiMakesArt is not responsible for carrier errors, tracking inaccuracies, or delays in tracking updates. Tracking information may not update in real time.
7. DELAYS, LOST, AND UNDELIVERABLE PACKAGES
7.1 Carrier and Logistical Delays
Delays caused by shipping carriers, customs authorities, weather, or any other logistical circumstance beyond KaiMakesArt's direct control do not entitle the customer to a refund, cancellation, or compensation of any kind. By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
7.2 Customer-Provided Address
The customer is solely responsible for providing a complete, accurate, and deliverable shipping address at the time of checkout. KaiMakesArt is not liable for non-delivery, misdelivery, or loss resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer. No refund or replacement will be issued in such cases.
7.3 Undeliverable Packages
If a package is returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect address, failed delivery attempts, or customer refusal to accept delivery, the customer will be responsible for all additional shipping costs required to reship the order. No refund will be issued for undeliverable packages unless the customer elects not to have the order reshipped, in which case a partial refund of the product cost only may be considered at KaiMakesArt's sole discretion, minus all original and return shipping costs incurred.
7.4 Lost Packages
A package will not be considered lost until at least 30 calendar days have elapsed beyond the maximum estimated delivery window. If a package is confirmed lost by the carrier, KaiMakesArt will work with the customer to pursue available remedies through the carrier, which may include a replacement or store credit at KaiMakesArt's discretion.
8. ORDER CANCELLATION POLICY
8.1 Cancellation Before Shipment
Orders may be requested for cancellation within 24 hours of placement, provided the order has not yet entered the processing or fulfillment stage. To request a cancellation, you must contact us immediately at knotsbykai@outlook.com. Cancellation is not guaranteed even within this window and is subject to fulfillment status at the time the request is received.
8.2 Cancellation After Shipment
Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled under any circumstances. The customer may not initiate a cancellation, refuse delivery as a means of obtaining a refund, or request a chargeback on the basis that the item is in transit. Post-shipment cancellation requests will not be honored.
9. RETURNS AND REFUNDS
9.1 Return Eligibility Window
KaiMakesArt offers a 90-day limited return window, measured from the date of confirmed delivery to the customer's address as recorded by the carrier. Return requests submitted after 90 calendar days from the confirmed delivery date will not be accepted under any circumstances.
9.2 Conditions for Return Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, ALL of the following conditions must be met without exception:
The item must be in its original, unused, and unaltered condition. The product must be unopened with all original packaging intact, seals unbroken, and no signs of handling or use. The item must show no evidence of wear, washing, alteration, damage by the customer, or contact with pets, perfumes, or other substances. All original tags, labels, and packaging materials must be present and undamaged. A valid proof of purchase from KaiMakesArt must accompany the return.
Failure to meet any one of the above conditions will render the item ineligible for return or refund, regardless of the reason for the return request.
9.3 Return Shipping Costs
All return shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the customer. KaiMakesArt does not provide prepaid return labels, return shipping credits, or reimbursement for return postage under any circumstances. We strongly recommend that customers use a trackable shipping method for all returns. KaiMakesArt assumes no responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit during a return.
9.4 Inspection and Refund Processing
Upon receipt of a returned item, KaiMakesArt will conduct a complete physical inspection of the product to verify compliance with the return conditions outlined in Section 9.2. This inspection process may take up to 14 business days from the date we receive the return.
Refunds will only be issued after the inspection is complete and the item is confirmed to meet all eligibility requirements. Refunds will be applied to the original payment method. Original shipping charges are non-refundable under all circumstances. If shipping was offered at no charge, a standard shipping fee of up to $9.99 will be deducted from the refund amount to recover fulfillment costs.
9.5 Refund Exclusions
No refund or return will be issued in the following circumstances, which are explicitly excluded from our return policy:
Items that have been used, washed, worn, or removed from original packaging. Items returned without prior written authorization from KaiMakesArt. Items damaged due to customer misuse, mishandling, or improper care. Returns initiated after the 90-day return window. Delays in delivery caused by carriers, customs, or logistics providers. Customer dissatisfaction based on subjective expectations of artisan or handmade quality, given the manufacturing transition disclosed in Section 2. Digital, downloadable, or customized products if applicable in future offerings. Items purchased during final sale or promotional events marked as non-returnable.
9.6 Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive an item that is materially defective or damaged upon arrival, you must contact KaiMakesArt at knotsbykai@outlook.com within 5 business days of the confirmed delivery date. You must provide photographic evidence of the defect or damage, including photos of the product and its original packaging. Failure to report a defect or damage within this window waives any right to a remedy based on that defect. Claims submitted after this period will not be considered.
10. CHARGEBACKS AND PAYMENT DISPUTES
Filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your financial institution without first contacting KaiMakesArt and allowing us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue constitutes a breach of this policy. KaiMakesArt reserves the right to contest any chargeback filed in violation of these terms and to provide relevant documentation to the payment processor or card issuer, including evidence of this policy's acceptance at the time of purchase.
11. FORCE MAJEURE
KaiMakesArt shall not be held liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, government actions or restrictions, carrier strikes, supply chain disruptions, or international trade restrictions. Such events do not constitute grounds for a refund or compensation.
12. COMPLIANCE WITH U.S. LAW
This Shipping Policy is intended to comply with applicable federal and state consumer protection laws, including but not limited to the Federal Trade Commission's Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 435), which requires that merchants ship merchandise within the timeframe stated or, if no timeframe is stated, within 30 days. Where any provision of this policy is found to conflict with applicable law, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to achieve compliance, and all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
